A hotel near Mollet del Vallés
Mollet del Vallés has many places of interest for all types of travellers in its town centre and surrounding areas. From a cultural standpoint, the Mollet del Vallés menhir—a spectacular megalithic monument discovered in 2009—is the very symbol of the city. It is a large stone block with engravings dating back to ancient times, from 3300 to 2500 B.C., which attest to the artistic ability of the earliest inhabitants of the area. The Abelló Museum, with thousands of works by this local painter and other pieces by 20th century masters, and the Parish Church of Sant Vicenç, which still preserves original elements of Gothic architecture, are other cultural points of interest. And for nature lovers, Els Gallecs Natural Park provides recreational and environmental education areas.
